COMMUNITY NOTICE OF INTENT TO APPLY

The Boys and Girls Club of Tabula Rasa is providing notice to the community of our intent to submit a proposal for funding under the Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) Program.

This proposed program will serve students and families in the following target schools:

  • Liberty Wilderness Crossroads

  • Apalachicola Forest Youth Camp

  • Graceville School

  • Hope School

  • The DOVE Academy

  • Madison County Central School

  • Waypoint Charter Academy

  • Twin Oaks Madison Youth Academy

The 21st CCLC program will provide high-quality afterschool and summer learning opportunities designed to support student academic achievement and overall success. Key services include:

  • Academic enrichment: Tutoring and homework help designed to reinforce and complement the regular academic program, particularly in reading and mathematics.

  • Enrichment Activities: STEM/STEAM, art, music, physical fitness, health and nutrition, and recreational activities.

  • Support Services: Drug and violence prevention programs and technology education

  • Family Engagement: Literacy and related educational development services for the families of participating students.

This initiative is based on community needs and student data, including academic performance, attendance, and family input. The program will implement evidence-based strategies and proven practices to improve student outcomes and provide a safe, structured environment during out-of-school hours.

We invite input from parents, teachers, community members, and local organizations to help shape this proposal and ensure it reflects the needs of the community.

A copy of the proposal will be made available to the public upon submission.
